EAST Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is celebrating after being honoured with a “Centre of Excellence” award from the Department of Health.
The accolade was given with regard to the management of one of the Trust’s information technology training packages; NHS MOST (Microsoft Office Skills Training).
The NHS MOST programme was established nationally in April 2010 to increase employee productivity and efficiency when using Microsoft Office applications — Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
More than 100 members of staff passed MOST exams within the last year.
David Levison, senior project manager at the Department of Health IT Skills Development Programme, said: “My congratulations to East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust on becoming a Centre of Excellence.
“Fewer than 10 Trusts in England have achieved this award.”
