PIE lovers are being asked to help East Lancashire's Holland's Pies celebrate its 160th anniversary.

The firm, based in Baxenden, is to put together an exhibition about the company’s history at the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester.

Holland’s is calling for people to rummage through their garages, search through their kitchen cupboards, and root through their lofts to see if they have any historic items that are worthy of featuring in the exhibition.

A spokesperson for the firm said: “Any object, large or small, will be considered.

“Whether it’s a piece of machinery from the Holland’s factory, an old poster, an advert, or even a 40-year-old burnt meat pie, we want to hear from you!” added the spokesperson.

Holland’s currently has a collection of memorabilia in its archives which will make up the majority of the November exhibition.

The exhibition, which will be free to enter, is going to take place between November 11 and February 12.
