BAXENDEN-BASED Holland’s Pies is to give hungry homeless people a free festive treat.

The pies and puddings giant has donated 100 products to The Booth Centre, a day centre offering advice, activities and support for the homeless people of Manchester.

Holland’s Pies spokesman David Girdler said: “Booth Centre do a fantastic job in and around Manchester.

“We wanted to be able to help in their efforts and give a little something to those who are in a less fortunate position.

“We hope the pies donated to the centre will provide someone with a warm meal this Christmas.”
