PARENTS with children at Baxenden Church of England School have been warned about their parking habits.
The school issued a plea in its most recent newsletter, and said two near misses had been reported in the past week.

Headteacher Christina Regan said: “In the interest of the safety of all the children, please could all parents, grandparents and taxi drivers refrain from parking on the yellow lines at the front or school or parking in the area near to the junior school gates.
“We ask that no drop-offs or pick-ups are made in Hurstead Street. Please help us make it a traffic-free zone at the beginning and end of the school day.
“There is a car park in Manchester Road and a crossing patrol warden on duty each day.”
