Teacher retires after 39 years at Accrington school

THE Hollins Technology College, Accrington, said goodbye to its head of English after 39 years service at the school.
Chris Whiteside, who retired at the end of term, was described as a “truly outstanding teacher who has inspired many young people.”
Gill Ainsworth, LRC manager and events liaison officer, said: “She always showed total commitment to the school and her students.”
