Police in hunt for two wanted East Lancashire men

POLICE have released the names and photos of two men wanted on prison recall who they think could be in East Lancashire.

Ronald McLachlan, 50, from Blackburn, was originally jailed in June 2008 for affray.

It is believed that he may still be in the Blackburn area.

McLachlan is described as 5ft 8in, of heavy build with tattooed dots below his left eye.

He has large tattoos on both arms and his knuckles.

David John Shorrock, from Nelson, was jailed for assault in February 2008 and is also now wanted for questioning about a separate allegation of assault.

It is thought that Shorrock could be in Accrington, Blackburn or Burnley and is described as 5ft 9in with blue eyes and he has a small scar above his right eyebrow.

Both men have failed to comply with conditions that formed part of their early release and were recalled to prison in May and April respectively to serve the remainder of their sentences but still remain outstanding.

Inspector John Clucas said: “I would ask the public to be vigilant and report any sightings to the police. We want these people bringing to justice.”

OMG! I don't care if they're criminals or not. They should be in jail just for looking like that. They're offensive to the human eye!

Isn't it time criminals got a sentence and then served that time. Forget time off for good behaviour. It should be time on for bad behaviour. I'm sick of hearing sentences of so many years but knowing they'll only serve part of it. Lets have transparent sentences now.
