Accrington Working Men's Club hit by flooding

AN ACCRINGTON Working Men's Club has had to close its main bar after floodwater came in from the street.
The Sydney Street WMC club had to temporarily move its bar upstairs into the function room when four inches of floodwater came in from the back alley on Saturday.
The downstairs members’ bar could be out of action for a number of weeks, and functions booked in could be cancelled while the club waits to hear from insurance assessors.
In the meantime, the club have reduced the price of beer by 50p to compensate members for the inconvenience.
