THERE are still a few places left for teens interested in a scholarship with Accrington Stanley.
Accrington Stanley Community Trust offers all16 to19-year-old football players to pursue a two-year Football Education Scholarship.
The course has been running for six years with all students attaining a 100 per cent pass rate.
There are one-year and two-year BTEC sport courses available involving education, work experience, practical training and matches
The course follows the same structure as a college.
Each week students receive six hours of training based upon a season long plan to develop players technically, tactically and physically.
Matt Parkinson, football development officer, said “It’s a brilliant course for any student looking to continue their education with outstanding staff, while representing Accrington Stanley in our Football and Futsal teams."
Jordan Lewis, current captain and student, said: "This course has given me all I could have wanted. I get to study at Accrington Stanley’s stadium while getting to play Futsal and Football with my mates every day."
