A 15-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl died after eating a 'kebab or a peshwari naan which included nuts' from an Indian takeaway, an inquest heard.
Megan Lee, of Hargreaves Road, Oswaldtwistle, died on New Year's Day, two days after being admitted to hospital suffering from an anaphylactic shock.
Michael Singleton, East Lancashire's senior coroner, said: "Megan Lee, 15, died at Royal Blackburn Hospital on January 1, as a result of a anaphylactic shock, having seemingly eaten a kebab or a peshwari naan which included nuts.
"I am aware two men have been arrested by police, they are for an offence of gross negligence and manslaughter.
"They are currently on bail while further investigations are carried out.
"In these circumstances I am not in the position to list this inquest.
"I recognise that even if a decision was now made as whether proceedings are brought or not this is not an inquest I am in the position to list for hearing prior to my retirement."
The inquest of the St Christopher's High School pupil was adjourned to Tuesday, July 11.
