Shed fire being treated as suspected arson
A SHED fire in Accrington is being treated as a suspected arson by fire officers.
Firefighters from Hyndburn attended the incident at an allotment in Lynwood Road just after 1pm this afternoon.
Two crews went to the scene and extinguished the fire using hoses after the incident was reported by a resident.
A spokesman for the service said there were suspected gas cannisters in the shed and that it is being treated as suspicious.
He said: "There were suspected LPG cylinders inside but that hasn't been confirmed. Nobody was injured.
"The police have been contacted and they will also be investigating."
