A MAN attacked his partner and threatened to kill her after she tried to end the relationship, a court heard.
Lindsay Harkin, 25, of Argyle Street, Accrington, admitted to assaulting Donna Sheppherd on two occasions when he appeared at Burnley Crown Court.

The court was told the first incident took place on August 7 and the second was on September 16. Harkin also pleaded guilty to damaging a door and window at Miss Sheppherd’s home in August.
The court heard that he had previously been given an extended sentence by a court in Northern Ireland after being convicted of grievous bodily harm.
Defending Neil Howard said his client had mental health issues.
Judge Beverley Lunt said she needed to hear more about that before passing sentence and requested a pre-sentence report.
Harkin was remanded in custody and will next appear at Burnley Crown Court for sentencing on November 1.
Judge Lunt said: “It seems to me the most likely sentence has to be one of immediate custody. More about that will become clear when the report is produced and we know more about this offence in Northern Ireland.”
