FIREFIGHTERS believe a building fire in Accrington was started deliberately.
Two appliances from Accrington Station were called out to the fire at the old Churchills building on
Paradise Street at 8.21pm last night.

The fire was on the fourth floor and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus pitched a ladder to the building and entered via a window. A hose reel jet was then used to extinguish the flames.
Nobody was injured and firefighters left after around 40 minutes.
