WORSE than a teenager’s bedroom — but a football club’s new sponsorship deal could help its humble kitman tidy up the changing rooms.

Accrington Stanley’s shirt branding with the PlasticBoxShop has also given poor old Naz Ali an unexpected bonus.

The exasperated 27-year-old has been handed new plastic bins and boxes for the Wham Stadium to encourage the players not to just drop their shirts, shorts and socks on the deck.

Naz, who has been with the club for 10 years, said: “Any kit man will tell you that clearing up after the players is a nightmare.

“They leave their dirty kit wherever it drops and you need to be really organised to make sure it’s all collected up and cleaned and that there’s new fresh kit ready for when it’s needed.”

Lancashire Telegraph:

Jesse McClure, the star of hit reality TV show Storage Hunters, helped Naz to pick his tidy tubs, along with wheeled boxes for drinks, organiser boxes for studs and extra large boxes for storing footballs.

Jesse said: “Back room guys like Naz do an awesome job for clubs like Accrington Stanley but they don’t always get the recognition they deserve, or even the best equipment to do their job.”
