ARMED robbers wearing snoods threatened shop staff at knifepoint.
Police have launched an investigation following the ‘distressing’ raid which took place at Dixons News Food and Wine in Marlborough Road, Accrington.

A male member of staff was closing up at around 7.30pm on Wednesday when he saw two men outside the shop.
As he walked back into the shop he was followed by one of the alleged robbers.
A second man then entered the shop and was told by a female staff member the store was closed.
It is at that point the men each brandished a knife and demanded cash and a packet of cigarettes.
They escaped with £200 cash and cigarettes valued at £6. Nobody was injured.
A police spokesman said: “Thankfully no-one was injured during this robbery although clearly it must have been distressing for the victims.
“We are taking this extremely seriously and following up a number of lines of enquiry.”
One of the suspects was described as a tall man who was wearing dark clothing. The second man was described as tall, wearing dark tracksuit pants and a pale tracksuit top. Bothhad their faces covered with snoods.
