ACCRINGTON singer Reece Bibby is set to pursue ‘other projects’ after his band Stereo Kicks called it quits at the weekend.

The 16-year-old, who is dating Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anais, is expected to announce his latest career move in the coming months after the band made the shock announcement on Saturday.

Reece, along with Chris Leonard, Barclay Beales, Charlie Jones, Jake Sims, Casey Johnson, Tom Mann, and James Graham, all performed as solo artists during the auditions stage of The X Factor in 2014, before being merged into a group by the judges.

Former panellist Louis Walsh then put the boys through to the live shows, where they stayed until they were kicked out after a sing-off with Lauren Platt in week eight.

On Twitter Reece said: “I’ve had the best year of my life this past year. All because of you and seven lads.

“I will never forget SK. Thank you all.”

His dad Jamie told the Lancashire Telegraph: “There was nothing negative about the split, it just got too expensive to fund such a large band.

“We are very proud of what Reece has achieved.

“He has been approached by other management and we will be able to say soon what his next move will be.”

A statement to fans on the eight-piece boy band’s Facebook page revealed they decided to go their separate ways after struggling to secure a record deal.

The group wrote: “We all feel the time has come for us to now continue our journeys individually.”

The band’s final performance will be on Saturday at Thorpe Park.
