Pilkington, of Walton Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to indecently exposing himself.

The 39-year-old was sentenced by magistrates to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months.

He was also ordered to do 150 hours’ unpaid work in the community following the offence.

Magistrates also awarded £500 compensation to the affected family and told Pilkington he had to pay £380 costs.

Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said the two young boys of the family had first reported seeing Pilkington.

Their parents also went on to see him and their elder sister managed to film the acts as evidence on her mobile phone.

That footage was then passed by the family to the police to investigate.

“This behaviour went on for a couple of weeks; it wasn’t just a one off,” said Miss Allan.

She added: “On several occasions he walked past the window completely naked.”

Aftab Bakhat, defending, said his client had been quite candid in admitting the way he behaved and being seen had given him a thrill.
