Cllr Dad said: “This is in remembrance to all victims of terrorism, especially of those innocent lives lost in the Peshawar school attack in Pakistan.

“We are invited people of all faiths and background to join us as this was an attack against humanity.

“There will be prayers, a two-minute silence, and candlelit vigil.

“Please come and invite others. You are welcome to bring flowers and you will have an opportunity to write messages of peace and hope for humanity.”

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack on the Army Public school, which killed 132 children and 10 members of staff.

Vigils have been held across the nation, including Trafalgar Square, after the students were gunned down and some of the female teachers were burned alive.

The attack was the deadliest slaughter of innocents in the country and horrified a nation already weary of unending terrorist assaults.

Army commandos fought the Taliban in a day-long battle until the school was cleared and all the attackers dead.
