THE winner of a children’s art competition run by a historic market will get a visit from the American star of television’s Storage Hunters.

Creative kids are being asked to design their very own Christmas card by Accrington Market Online.

And the winning card will be hand delivered to the young artist by Storage Hunters star Jesse McClure next month.

The market is calling on children to get arty by designing a unique Christmas card.

The winner will receive a £100 voucher to spend online at Accrington Market, enough to buy the family’s entire Christmas dinner from the market’s fresh food stalls.

They will also be presented with 50 copies of their winning design by Jesse McClure, who will be making a visit to Accrington next month.

The runner-up will receive a tasty hamper of sweet treats from the market’s American Candy stall.

Kirsty Lauder, personal shopper for Accrington Market Online, said: “It’s time to grab your crayons, colouring pencils and felt tips and let your imagination run wild.

“It’s a special time of year so were hoping the card designs are as magical as possible to be in with a chance of winning copies to send to family and friends.

“Our friend Jesse helped launch the market website back in October so he jumped at the chance of presenting our winner with their prize.”

To enter, simply pick up a template from Kirsty at the market (Balcony office W10), from the cart inside the Market Hall or from a number of town centre shops.

Templates will also be distributed to Hyndburn schools.

Entries should be submitted by hand delivering or posting it to Kirsty Lauder at Accrington Market Stall W10 (balcony), Peel Street, Accrington, BB5 1ER.
