Hyndburn MP backs campaign for forced marriage victims

AN EAST LANCASHIRE MP is backing a scheme to help victims of forced marriages.
Hyndburn MP Graham Jones is spreading the word of a new helpline and also urging constituents who are affected to visit the foreign office website.
He is helping publicise JAN Trust’s launch of a dedicated website and a free helpline. He said: “Statistics show that a ‘typical’ forced marriage case involves young women in their teens or early twenties and the Pakistani community make up 65 per cent of cases handled by the Forced Marriage Unit.
“Therefore, JAN Trust consulted with over 1,000 grass roots Pakistani women over a period of three years. 85 per cent of women stated that a forced marriage had occurred in their family but crucially, 77 per cent said that they would not approach the police for further help if faced by or in a forced marriage.”

If the girl/woman is willing to go ahead with the latter, then little can be done about it. Holiday time is when everyone should be aware of Asian girls suddenly going missing. This is usually when they are shipped off to Pakistan and come back married.

But when there sending their daugthers, back to the country of their origin to get wed , They come back pregnant. And then claim mental angush if their kids cant see kids their dads, so they end up with the father of kid getting to live here
. What should happen is if thay married abroad you stay there,
Your pasport taken away. simple this would stop girls been made to get wed, for cash or honor intrests, Then the home grown trade in girls forced, the trade would stay local an UK based.( the girls could find help here).
But i am not aloud too say things like this its raceist???, Or is it predjudice never shaw!.
Or it could just the plain dont wish to know truth !!!?. you can go to jail just for thinking these days.
