as a relative i am disgusted that a total stranger can label my cousin selfish, i hope your happy with the distress and upset your "SELFISH" comment has caused my family . . .
maybe if your such an expert you should set up a group to help people like my cousin, obviously you have had a life with no troubles, no way on this earth does that give you right to label anyone, let alone a desperate young man

I can't believe so many family / friends are criticising the view's of another person.

If you desire respect for your loved one, then you need to respect another person's opinion whether you agree with or oppose them.

My view is that i don't think suicide is a selfish act as it is cowardly.

Why people commit suicide is found in their flight response. They choose to run from / escape from their problems or perceived threats.

That is why psychology teaches us that when one talks about it or attempts it, it is a cry for help.

So, I would say it's more courageous than selfish but tragic nevertheless.

Sorry, but the person who posted those comments does not deserve any respect, yes everyone is entitled to an opinion but was there really any need for this person to post such opinions on here knowing his family & friends would be reading it.
You have also given your opinion, although you seem to be confused, at the start you say suicide is cowardly & by the end of your post you say it is corageous - the only thing I do agree with from your post is that it is indeed tragic for all who are involved.

No doubt he had his problems and no one wants anyone take their own life.
Why should everyone else caught up in this through no fault of their own be ignored?
.
What about the adults and children that had to witness this terrible event?
.
What about the driver who has to try and come to terms with this?
.
What about the emergency services that have to clean things up?
.
What about all the other people whose daily routine was disrupted?
.
His actions don't just impact on family and friends, they extend much further and for this reason I believe it to be rather selfish. Particularly when there is so much help available.
.
I'm not on here to upset any family members, just to say how it affects others who go un noticed.

do you not think as a family we are thinking about the driver and many other witnesses, do you not think in the sleepless nights we have had since this ordeal we have discussed the poor driver, the emergency services were doing the job they are paid to do, they chose this occupation, daily routines get affected every single day but no one raises an eyebrow, you dont know what help he'd recieved or how bad the help was, you dont really know nothing other than your own opinon and what you have read, as i am aware you are only involved in this by reading about it so if suicide disgusts you so much then why read about it just to post your offensive comments . . .
my heart goes out to the driver witnesses and all others involved and much appreciation for the kind regards and well wishes, me and my family are very grateful for your time and consideration
