ONE of Lancashire Police’s most wanted criminals has been arrested.
Ernest Cunningham, or Ernie, 55, from the Shadsworth area of Blackburn, was one of 45 wanted faces which appeared on last month's Crimewatch Roadshow.
Cunningham was wanted on prison recall as were four others in Lancashire who have also been arrested following the Crimewatch appeal.
He appeared on the programme on Monday, June 1and was arrested in Clayton-le-Moors after an anonymous call was received directing police to the address in the town.
Inspector John Clucas said: "What we have done is to show our commitment to arresting those wanted on recall and on warrant.
"We will use different methods of communication to highlight wanted criminals and the opportunity to participate in this series of BBC programmes was too good to miss.”
