A BIT of snow didn’t stop some brave souls donning their onesies and pyjamas for a morning of football and fundraising – in fact that’s what they wanted.
Globe Bullough Park FC in Accrington organised the impromptu game in the aftermath of the Beast From The East and raised money for charity.
The club, which held its first ‘snow match’ in 2015, has donated funds to good causes over the years, including when a ‘mums-team’ raised over £600 for a premature baby unit.
Globe chairman, Wayne Roberts, said: “In 2015 we organised a match in the snow to raise money for a local lad, and the different teams have been fundraising ever since.
“This was a good opportunity for players to come together and have a bit of fun in the snow, all for a good cause.”
