A MAN has been given a 12-month community order after admitting to battery.
Burnley magistrates heard how Mark Dawrant, of Trentham Avenue, Wavertree, Liverpool, assaulted the woman by beating her in Oswaldtwistle on July 19 last year.
The 27-year-old was ordered to pay £150 prosecution costs and a £85 surcharge to fund victim services.
Dawrant must also complete 150 hours of unpaid work and a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
