A CHILD has reportedly been hit by a car in Clayton-le-Moors.
The accident happened near the Hare and Hounds pub in Whalley Road at about 5pm today.
Eyewitnesses said the child did not appear to be seriously injured.
Police and paramedics attended the incident.
One eyewitness said: "I saw four police cars and a rapid response vehicle outside the Hare and Hounds pub in Whalley Road."
Another said: "I was told that a child had got run over by a car but that their injuries weren't serious.
"There were police cars and a rapid response vehicle but the emergency services aren't there now."
