PUB bosses have said they are looking forward to investment plans which will see a 'tired local turned in a family-friendly community pub'.
The Lancashire Telegraph reported last week Brian Healy will be taking over at The Stanhill Pub and Kitchen in Oswaldtwistle next year.
The news came as he will not be reopening Healy’s Wine Bar and Brasserie in Accrington.
Brewers Star Pubs and Bars said they will be investing in the site as part of refurbishment plans.
A spokesperson for Star Pubs & Bars said: “We are looking to invest a significant sum into the Stanhill, Oswaldtwistle to transform this tired local into a family-friendly community pub and restaurant offering a wide range of beers and ciders as well as good food for all the family.
“We are currently awaiting the decision of a planning application made to the local council earlier this month. A licensing application is also pending.”
Mr Healy said the site is currently scheduled to close for refurbishment in January before opening under him in February.
