SIX people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving three cars.
The collision took place at around 1.15pm near the Game Cock Inn in Whalley Road, Great Harwood.
Police said no cause has been established for the crash which involved a blue Nissan Micra, a black peugeot 307 and a blue Nissan Note and knocked down a lampost.
A police spokesman said: "Five police cars attended the scene throught the incident.
"All the people involved were concious and breathing and have been taken to hospital to be checked over."
A fire service spokesman said crews from Hyndburn and Blackburn attended and made the vehicles safe and assisted paramedics.
The road was closed for more than one hour while emergency services attended the scene.
