A GROUP of teenagers have been caught kicking car wing mirrors in Great Harwood.

CCTV footage shows the gang walking up Shakespeare Avenue at around 9.30pm on Saturday before two of them run up and kick the side of a car parked in the road.

Carl Sumner, who owns the CCTV camera and shared the footage on Facebook, said his own car was parked on the other side of the road so was unharmed.

The dad-of-two said: "My neighbour knocked on my door saying there had been some trouble and a few cars had been damaged.

"His wing mirror had been kicked and the glass was hanging off it.

"It is not nice. If you look at the end of the footage you can see he goes to do it to another car.

"They have a lack of respect for people's property. One day they will drive and will realise how much it costs.

"It is kids acting like idiots."

He said the teens ran off when they were confronted by a resident.

The lorry driver said it is usually quiet in Shakespeare Avenue.

"We've had one incident in the last two and half years but there seem to be a lot of youths starting to hang about," he added.
