A NEW fashion chain is set to bring jobs to Accrington Town Centre.

Select Fashion, which sells women’s clothing and accessories, will be moving into the former Store Twenty One unit in Broadway.

Staff at the fashion chain said they hope to open in approximately four weeks time.

The retailer already has stores in Blackburn, Burnley and Nelson.

New jobs are set to be created in the town centre by the new business and they are appealing on social media for applicants.

Cllr June Harrison, who represents the area on Hyndburn Council, urged people in the town to use the new store.

The Barnfield ward representative said: “I think it’s brilliant news that a new store is coming to Accrington.

“It shows we’re getting interest in the area which will hopefully continue.

“It’s up to the people of Hyndburn to get down and support the store.”

The site has been vacant since July when Store Twenty One closed after the company went into liquidation.
