A BEST selling author and former newspaper editor is to appear at Burnley Literary Festival.

Stuart Robertson will discuss his journey from journalism to fiction and his first two novels.

This session will include an insight into the writing process; tips on how to get published and an exclusive reading from his upcoming third novel, Stand By Me.

The 40-year-old, from Helmshore, left the busy life in the newsroom after more than a decade and became a stay-at-home-dad and committed to becoming a fiction writer.

In that time he has published two novels, ‘Time to say goodbye’ and ‘If ever I fall’

His first novel sold more than 80,000 copies and was translated into 10 languages.
