ACCRINGTON Academy will be celebrating another successful summer when it holds its latest open evenings early next month.

The school recently had its first ever student to gain a place at Oxford University and is now looking to share that success with primary pupils and their parents, as well as prospective Sixth Form students.

A whole school opening evening is being held on Tuesday, October 3, while a sixth form only event will take place on Monday, October 9, at the same time.

Visitors to both events will hear from executive principal Andy O’Brien and head of school Nicola Palmer and have the opportunity to tour the facilities and meet staff and students.

Ms Palmer said: "Our aim here at Accrington Academy is to bring out the best in everyone, helping all of our students, from Year 7 right through to Sixth Form, reach their full potential and achieve their dreams.”
