A TEAM of six people from Accrington who work at Hollands pies have taken part in a charity skydive.
They jumped more than 10,000ft at Black Knights Skydive Centre to raise funds for the Boparan Charitable Trust and Deaf Society. To date the team have raised over £700.
They got the opportunity to take part in the challenge after the Boparan Trust advertised charity places for the skydive.
Dave Hudson, 47, who led the team, said: “Ever since watching the film Point Break I have wanted to jump out of a plane, but I have a fear of heights.
“Me and the guys on the shop floor started talking about a sky-dive last year and I thought if they all agree to it, I won’t bottle out.
“I think I’m going through a mid- life crisis, I can’t afford a fast car so I’m going to jump out of a plane.”
A spokesman for the Boparan Charity said: “We are so proud of Dave and the team for taking on this challenge of a life time.”
