AN ARSON investigation was launched after a car parked next to an antique shop was 'deliberately' set alight.

The incident happened outside the Benny Charlesworth shop Blackburn Road, Great Harwood, at just after midnight.

Up to 20 firefighters attended the incident, which saw a black BMW car completely burnt out.

The fire then spread to the front of the shop but firefighters wearing breathing apparatus managed to contain it using two hose reels.

Nobody was in the building at the time and nobody was injured.
