A CHARITY troop in Accrington is looking for support to win a national competition and appear on television.
DanceSyndrome has been shortlisted in the National Lottery Awards and the project with the most votes will appear on BBC's The One Show and win £5,000.
The group delivers inclusive workshops and dance leadership that demonstrate a focus on ‘ability rather than disability’ all across the North West.
The charity was founded by Jen Blackwell, who has Down's Syndrome, after she initially failed to find opportunities to pursue her career ambitions of becoming a dance leader after 10 years.
She said: "It is a real honour to be up for this award, and it would mean so much to us to win. It takes 30 seconds to help, please vote for us.”
