A COMPANY that provides activities for people with learning disabilities has appointed two new directors.

Pip Brodest, 28, and Adam Hartley, 27, have been appointed as volunteer directors for Spring into Action, based in Accrington.

The pair had to apply for the position and were interviewed by existing directors, Lucy and Dawn Vickers, who is also Managing Director of DanceSyndrome.

Both applicants have learning disabilities and have been involved with the community group for a number of years.

Mr Brodest said: “I enjoy doing lots of different things and I have done lots of things at Spring into Action.

“I am excited to become a director”

Mr Hartley said: “I am good at telling lots of people what we do and I can help Spring into Action to make decisions.”

Spring into Action currently runs an inclusive sports club, based at New Era in Accrington, and are looking for more volunteers.
