FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue a young male who injured his hand on railings near a large pond in Accrington.
A crew were sent to the 'lodge' off Cotton Street in the town at 7.30pm this evening.
Firefighters from Hyndburn station administered first-aid before and ambulance took the young man to hospital.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We were called at 7.30pm to a lodge off Cotton Street in Accrington for a special service rescue.
"A young male appeared to have got stuck climbing a rail and cut his hand quite badly.
"We adminstered first aid until an ambulance came and took him to hospital."
