A 24-YEAR-OLD man who was thrown out after punching a pub landlord in the eye responded by smashing a window.

Blackburn magistrates heard that just days earlier Thomas Owen McKee had damaged ornaments and a television at his mum's house.

McKee, 24, of Sparth Avenue, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to assaulting Terry Burt and damaging a window belonging to him and causing £600 worth of damage to property belonging to Emma Barton.

He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said McKee went into the Royal Oak in Clayton-le-Moors on Friday night and an argument broke out between him and another customer.

McKee was initially told to calm down but then went behind the bar and punched the landlord.

She said the incident at his mother's just three days earlier when he lashed out during a drunken row with his girlfriend.

Graeme Parkinson, defending, said the incident at his mother's occurred when he let the frustration relating to his girlfriend got the better of him.
