A MAN was threatened with a claw hammer in an attempted robbery in Accrington.
The incident took place at 2.50pm on April 16 when a 46-year-old man has been walking on a path near to Plantation Street.
Another man ran behind him and then asked for his wallet whilst holding a claw hammer.

The offender was disturbed when a dog walker approached, running off towards the top of Plantation Road.
PC Stephen Wallwork, said: “This happened in broad daylight and so we are hoping that someone will have seen something.
“Luckily the walker disturbed the offender and thankfully the victim wasn’t hurt.”
