AN IT distributor is selling its base at Altham Industrial Estate for £5.9million.

It was announced in 2015 that Exertis will be the anchor tenant of a 543,000 square foot warehouse off junction nine of the M65 at Hapton.

The firm, which has around 400 workers at premises in Shorten Brook Way, is expected to nearly double its workforce, when it makes the switch later this year.

Work on construction of the new national distribution centre for Exertis, which works with 350 technology brands and has 14,000 customers across the continent, has been undertaken by contractors Bowmer and Kirkland and started in 2015.

The Altham site is set to be available for a new owner to move in this summer.

The base was recently put on the market.
