A CAR was set on fire after a 'large firework' was set off underneath it in Accrington, police said.
Two fire crews from Accrington were called to Countess Street at 10.15pm on Saturday, November 5, after the explosion.
A police spokesman said: "We believe a group of youths were seen to place a large firework around the front end of the vehicle.
"It had gone off underneath it and set the car on fire.
"We are appealing for anyone with information in relation to think incident to contact us on 101 and quoting the crime reference number ED1616999."
No one was injured.
