Delays on M65 following two-vehicle collision
A SECTION of the M65 that was partially closed this afternoon because of a road traffic collision has now fully reopened.
The incident happened westbound between junction 8, A6068 (Accrington) and junction 7, A6185 (Rishton).
Two lanes were closed whilst accident and investigation work was carried out and the vehicles were recovered.
A spokesman for the North West Motorway Police said two vehicles are involved and that an ambulance is on scene.
The incident caused tailbacks for motorists travelling towards Blackburn from Burnley and both sections of the motorway were fully reopened by 1pm.
