A CHILDMINDER from Clayton-le-Moors has again been rated as 'good' by education watchdog Ofsted.
Michelle Louise Sumner, of Burnley Road, was found to meet the needs of the 12 children she looks after 'very well'.
Ofsted inspector Michelle Britch made her judgement after observing activities in the childminder's home.
She said: "The childminder works hard to keep children safe and well. She provides a safe and secure environment, where hazards to children are effectively minimised."
Michelle also 'carefully considers' children's interests and preferences and manages their behaviour well, Ms Britch said.
She was not considered an 'outstanding' childminder however, which would have been the best possible outcome.
Ms Britch said: "Occasionally, children are not always given sufficient time to become deeply involved in their own ideas because the childminder takes over their play.
"She does not always give children enough time to respond to her questions in order to explain their thoughts and ideas."
Michelle was last inspected in March 2010, when she was also given a 'good' rating.
