A 26-YEAR-OLD woman who travelled to Accrington to visit her gran took the opportunity to do some shoplifting there.
Blackburn magistrates heard Aimee Leigh-Anne Holland targeted four town centre shops after being egged on by a friend whose baby was due to have a birthday party.
Holland, of River Bend Close, Centerbury, pleaded guilty to stealing Frozen bed quilts, Disney bibs, a baby fleece and other items worth £162 from B & M Bargains, ballerina pumps, leggings and a cherub ornament worth £52 from Store 21, baby clothing worth £26 from Peacocks and an Easter egg, Disney balloons, and a birthday banner worth £28 from the Card factory.
She was fined £110 with £105 costs.
Imran Hussain, defending, said she had not intended to go shoplifting, but was encouraged by a friend whose son was due to have a birthday party.
