A MOURNER who had gone to a funeral in Accrington on Friday left an urn in the back seat of a taxi, a cab company said.

Manchester Cars have appealed for help in tracing the man, who left the small wooden box in a taxi after being picked up from the firm’s base in the city centre.

The small, decorative urn has a brass plaque, inscribed with the word Bella and the date 25.01.11.

Although the man was dropped off in Fallowfield, also in Manchester, at 6.15pm on Friday, an order of service was also found in the taxi, along with a black tie.

The company took to Twitter to appeal for help in finding the man. It said: “Do you know someone who attended the funeral of David Rae McCraken? They left an urn in a taxi going towards Fallowfield after being picked up on Bloom Street.”
