FATHER Christmas will take a break from his busy schedule at the North Pole to visit Hyndburn over the next three weeks.

Youngsters in Oswaldtwistle and nearby districts will be hoping to catch a glimpse of Santa himself as he tours the area in his sleigh.

Ken Freeman, the chairman of fundraising at the Rotary Club of Church and Oswaldtwistle, said: “Taking Santa and the sleigh around the district truly shows the real face of Rotary.

“Thanks to the public, the amount of money raised – usually in excess of £3,000 – is the largest contributor to our annual fundraising amount, all of which goes to local, national, and international charities and good causes.”

Santa began his tour on Tuesday, and his final outing will be on Thursday, December 18.

The site will be updated to include changes due to poor weather.
