YOUTHS have been climbing onto the roof of Rishton Library, causing 'considerable' damage, town councillor Ken Moss said.
Youngsters were using a flower planter against the wall to climb up onto the one-storey building, before damaging guttering.

Coun Moss said: "Bottles and cans have been pushed down the drainage spouts which have blocked and caused the interior ceilings to fill with water and burst. It has also weakened the structure of the flat roof."
He added: "The flower planter at the library has been moved away from the wall following a request from the librarian. It was originally placed by the defibrillator as complaints had been raised that people could walk into it as they were passing and hurt themselves."
