A COUPLE were seriously assaulted in an attack outside the Black Dog pub in Union Road, Oswadtwistle.
The married couple were stood outside the pub, and were involved in an altercation with a man.

The husband was punched in the head causing him to fall on to a wall. He suffered cuts and grazes to his face and while on the ground was kicked in the face several times.
His wife attempted to stop the attack but was also punched and knocked unconscious, suffering a fractured cheek bone and a fractured wrist.
The incident happened at around 1am on Sunday, September 21.
The attacker is a white man, aged between 25 and 35-years-old, of slim build, and 5ft 8in to 6ft tall.
He was wearing a grey hooded top and light coloured chino trousers.
Police are asking for anybody who witnessed the assault or knows the details of the offender to contact DC Tony Roberts at Blackburn CID, by calling 101.
