A RAPE investigation was launched after a woman claimed she was sexually assaulted in Great Harwood.
Police were called to Delph Road, near to the town centre, after the woman in her 40s made a complaint.
The incident was alleged to have happened during the early hours of Saturday morning.
A 27-year-old man from Great Harwood was arrested in connection with the incident, but was later released with no further action to be taken.
Detective Inspector Claire McEnery, from the public protection unit, said the investigation had finished and that there was ‘no victim of crime’ in relation to the allegation.
