A FILM festival at a college was held to inspire a new generation of film makers.

Accrington and Rossendale College hosted the eighth annual Pennine Film Festival with a wide range of activities and screenings.

Throughout the festival last week there was a wide range of activities including competitions, screenings and awards.

Guests included Director Iain Cash and Producer Reece Lynch who were under the spotlights to share their experiences within the industry.

The audience also got the opportunity to ask both Iain and Reece questions in the Question and Answer session.

Local Filmmakers Matt Rishton from Blackburn, James Walton from Rossendale and Leon Florentine from Accrington were also in attendance screening their short films and giving talks.

Festival director Stephen Murphy said β€œIt was another fantastic year with some inspiring guests, entertaining films and lots of people attending the events.”
