A SUPERMARKET is expected to reveal a £565,000 revamped store and create four new jobs this spring.
The Co-operative is to move its existing store on the High Street in Rishton to more spacious premises in Harwood Road.
The move to the new site secures the positions of the 15 staff are employed at The Co-operative’s existing food store in the town.
All members of staff will transfer across to work in the new store and it is expected that four new positions will be created.
Subject to completion of the necessary work to transform the site into a Co-operative Food outlet, the new store is expected to open in the spring.
Chris Moss, regional acquisitions manager for The Co-operative said: “We are delighted that we are going to be able to bring an improved store to the Rishton community.
“Our customers tell us that they love shopping with us and now we’re going to be able to make their experience even better.”
Alongside existing ranges, there will be an extended Co-operative bakery and a dedicated customer car park.
