A RISHTON high school ran a taster session for parents of members of the archery club.
Four parents attended the session at Norden High School and Sports College in Stourton Street with their children and were put through their pages in the Olympic sport.
The young and old were taught about range safety and correct shooting techniques. Parents initially found it hard, but within the hour their shooting skills quickly improved.
The club now hopes to make the parent and pupil sessions a regular event, culminating in a shooting competition at the end of the school year.
The archery club holds weekly meetings and is open to all pupils, with new members always made welcome.
